Thank you so much! I was just wondering whether you have an example of what an A* answer looks like for meanings and representations questions? I looked at the sample answers on the AQA website but they were quite low-level answers.

Hey do u have notes for literacy for Child language too so reading and writing? Really hope a speaking one comes ip as one of the choices :frown:

Hi, for Child language acquisition, in my exam we had to read transcripts of children's speech so I don't have any notes on the reading and writing part. I do have some on speech/speaking here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/142FnqGa73rLVm_wUJ8Atvmzwn9K9AiEN
I'll look for some online and see if there's any notes on reading and writing.

Yes, definitely. Why wouldn't there be? AQA have said that the modes will always be different. The fact that your teacher hasn't told you this is astonishing.

Some revision tips:

•

Start your revision early - so for example, for those who are taking their A level exams now, it's best to have started your revision in the Easter holidays (so around 3 months before the exams).

•

Create a realistic revision timetable - make sure to make one that you're actually going to stick to, with enough breaks in between your revision periods and leave slots free for when you have to run errands, work, breakfast, lunch, dinner etc

•

Use past papers - these are the most useful resources for revision because then you get an idea of what your real exams will actually be like. Plus it's the closest you get to taking your mocks/real exams and you can practice them at home or in the library in timed conditions (like the actual exam).

•

Use flashcards - they're good for when it's getting closer to the exam, so a few days before and on the day of the exam so you can just read them for last minute revision.

•

Always ask for help - ask your teacher if you're struggling with a question, a topic or anything related to your subject since that's what they're there for, to help their students get the best results possible. Also, ask them to mark your answers to past papers, this is the best feedback for you since they're sort of like examiners themselves (they mark answers) and you can then see what your strengths and weaknesses are and how to improve. Ask your family/friends to test you on topics/questions you're struggling with on the morning of the exams (with flashcards).
