Hi SR,

I’m sure it’s not just me, but I prefer classical music to the music coming out currently as I’m completely unable to relate to it. I go to concerts at the Barbican/ London concert halls frequently and have never been to a ‘gig’ ever. Anyone similar or have any views on classical music in general?

Yes.
I like a lot of classical music, go to concerts and have never been to pop or other music gigs.
Coming to Glastonbury would be my worst nightmare.

I like all music, including classical. My username is a reference to a small orchestra.

astonishing how much classical music people know as it lives through the ages and has permeated culture for decades, unlike a faddy pop song imo...

Yes I couldn’t agree more. Do you have a concert hall/orchestra of preference?

Precisely that’s my argument is that classical music as a genre has created works of art that permeates throughout time. I’m not sure people will be listening to the Top Ten of 2020 in a hundred years time.

I know it’s soo disappointing if I had the money I’d chase him around the world instead. He did the Albert Hall a couple of years ago but nothing since then.

How the mainstream encroaches on classical music fandom 😂😂 Maybe it’s prejudice others might say a lack of education... 😊😂

am wanting to major in classical violin as I fell in love with classical music since I was young, haha. People have different views on music so i understand why some people prefer not to listen to it. At first, I thought it was boring, but then I tried to be more open and realized that classical music is a type of music that is more complicated, as things tend to get simplified as time goes on, like clothings as I have observed from Bernadette Banner's video. I'm not saying other genre of music is bad, I typically listen to pop, rock and other genre as well but I think classical suites me the most.
