see if you spent a quarter of your passionate view on arguing for billionaire psychos to pay tax that they avoid to the tune of billions I could understand your argument at someone getting £70 a week. get real

Why can't one do both? No one likes billionaires skipping tax. And just because there is another bad area, doesn't mean that another bad is any less wrong

Top 1% of earners in this country pay 25% of the tax take, these 1% can easily go and live in other countries paying no tax whatsoever then where will the money come from to fill the welfare boots?

Anyone watch the BBC show yesterday, it would make taxpayers blood to see the attitude displayed by the applicants on there.

Firstly when in the welfare office whenever the case worker would ask any of the applicants 'do you work'? They would all look back at him/her with a face of incredulity essentially saying 'me work? why should I?'

Then they would all complain the amount given isnt enough well heres a thought sherlock get a job!! The females would enter the office with 3 inches of make up on saying they cant work with the latest iphone in hand.

Then another workless guy at the end said if they dont give me a handout said if they dont pay me I am going to nick stuff but on giro day when he goes to the cash machine to get £hundreds of taxpayers cash he has the obligatory cigarette in mouth so if you aint got money for food where has the money for cigarettes come from?

Another applicant commented the Universal Credit system is so tough I had to go and get a job...hang on a minute isnt that the idea? If not working is going to put you in poverty then get a job and pull yourself out of it.

Given next week episode promises more of the same I can conclude this shows slogan should be 'Britain, a country where only fools work!'

Do you believe the attitude of those chosen is representative? Seems to have triggered you enough to believe thats the case.
Welfare office what is that? You mean JC+?
The biggest group of people on welfare are pensioners, then follow that up with people with disabilities or health issues.
They dont issue giros.
Sounds like a good amount of poverty porn you can get off on, though.

Not sure how much it resembles the reality of how the benefits system works, certainly not from the clients I deal with at various stages.
Sanctioned- homeless- foodbank- disabled.
If the rules are being applied correctly the anyone showing disinterest , misses an interview or fails to show they are seeking employment to the satisfaction of their workcoach will be sanctioned 3 months money, which is easily enough to get them made homeless. The following sanction is a year then 2 years.

This guy missed his appointment recently.

UC is a complete disaster, hence they have now put it back to 2024.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51318730

Seems clear you have a predisposition against anyone that uses the benefits system and you view them as all the same.

You even started a new account for this? That is special.

Then they should go , except it might be the reason they pay more tax is because they earn so much money by being in the UK. If they want to go and live in Saudi or Dubai they should go. They will jst have reduced or no access to UK markets and that might be the reason they are in a position to make so much money.

Yes JC+ office or 'dole office' as its still colloquially knows amongst long term claimants. All channels seem to make enough of the 'poverty' stuff but as a parent pointed out today the working poor are worse off than those on benefits about time that changes

Health issues - you mean like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and other illness forms which leading medical experts say are psychological not physical conditions hence cant be proven so are good things to use when dont want to work.

So its ok for you to highlight isolated cases online where things may have gone wrong but hows about the thousands that are now working after not bothering to show up to their assessments or being finally told to get a job! Again lack of jobs is no excuse we wouldnt have migrant workers if there were no jobs, everyone conveniently shirks that glaring fact.

1. Do you have any experience of or fully understand how the benefits system works? Doesnt seem like it.
2. No the low paid are not worse off because anyone who works and is on a very low salary cna still claim benefits for which they get to keep 33p in the £ to the extent of their benefits.
3. People who work , but are low paid can also access working tax credits. This would make them substantially better off than someone on benefits.
4. So you believe all health issues are made up? All of the applicants are assessed not on the basis of whether they can work or not, but what % of their ability is. You dont believe psychological conditions are real and they are all on the skive?
5. Your next argument like most of your rant makes no sense. You dont have to show up to an assessment, but are only required to do so if you wish to make a claim. It doesnt mean they are working and it certainly doesnt mean they dont have a medical illness, that is up to the doctor to diagnose or not.
6. You have migrant workers because they can make more money than they can in their own country.
7. You dont seem to have much experience or knowledge about how UC and the actual benefits system works and it just seems to be what you have seen on poverty porn programmes. Anyway carry on venting. Open a new account tomorrow and do the same again.
Labour created this mess. Infact, the left wing created this mess. They would sit these idiots down, give them a cookie and a hug and tell them everything's going to be ok and that they don't need to work because they now have a disability... It's a revolving circle. I genuinely feel sorry for those that are genuinely disabled and cannot work. They get tarnished with a brush because of those that know exactly how to play the system.

This problem will never be sorted in our lifetime. You can forget it. It'll get worse. It's gone too far now. People harp on about the left wing, heavily taxed states in the Nordic region, about how they are a great example of socialism. They are. But there is one major difference. The people. They do not have a few generations of lazy, workshy benefit claimants, who our left wing will tell you are just 'misunderstood.'

****ing pathetic.

Missing the point why are Brits saying there arent any jobs yet at the same time there are 3 million migrants working here? Why arent Brits doing those jobs? Because they think its beneath them or they just plain bone idle.

In fact most of the medical assessors are not doctors they are actually nurses or other allied healthcare professionals. If you are called to attend and dont show up then clearly your benefit will be stopped so question is why dont you show up if you truly think you have a legitimate case?

In years gone by you could simply fill in a few forms and stay on disability benefits with no assessments whatsoever when they were introduced the numbers found fit to work were truly shocking.

No he/she thinks everyone on welfare is genuine with genuine souls and intent to work yet we bizarrely have 3 million workless households in the UK and the tradition of worklessness is handed down from generation to generation

As quoted by learned people repeatedly 'The reason socialism fails is that eventually you run out of other peoples money'

Does that mean you arent a brit?
Does that mean you have no actual real experience of the benefits system or understand how universal credit works?
Certainly seems like it, hence your expertise.

Or they arent qualified or they live in the wrong area or they physically cant do them. Its a very simple world you live in.
You dont get benefit unless you are assessed, unless you are an existing claimant. You see in your simpletons world there only exist workers and skivers. You really dont understand how the system works at all and are too keen to fill in the blanks with your own ignorance and prejudice to fire you on.

A socialist like institution isn't the same as socialism. The public school system and the police force are also examples of such institutions.

You dont need qualifications to clean a hotel room or pick fruit in a field then why do employers say time after time local Brits in those areas dont want to do that work. Live in the wrong area LOL but someone from Latvia lives in right area then? Even employers say Brexit may stop their source of labour so why wont the Brits do those jobs? Answer because they think its beneath them, they are too lazy and welfare provides an easier option.

As the media highlights
'Three-quarters of people who applied for new benefits for the long-term sick failed tests to prove they were too ill to work.

Out of about 840,000 who tried to obtain the £95-a-week Employment and Support Allowance, 640,000 were told they were fit for work, or withdrew their applications before they took the tests suggesting they were ‘trying it on’.

Incredibly, 7,100 tried to claim because they had sexually transmitted diseases and nearly 10,000 because they were too fat. Only 178,000 one in four were given the payment after convincing staff they were actually unable to work.'

Interesting too fat to work or cant work because of the 'clap'!

You just seem to want to rant about a system you have no experience or knowledge of, so fill your boots.
There are more interesting and fruitful threads to post on. Have fun.

Agree facts hurt at the end of the day rather than his anecdotes of individuals who live in the wrong areas to work yet migrant labour does?!!! exposing that there is a lazy underclass in society here who have no intention of working yet clearly can do so and will do whatever it takes not to work. The Labour manifesto including basically eliminating welfare caps with a help yourself policy clearly went down a treat with working people!

Not really you will see I have answered in detail enough on this thread, but spend most of my time answering other threads where actual advice is needed. This thread is a pointless rant. Believe it or not most people come on TSR for advice.
You wouldnt know as you never do anything constructive on TSR as it is.
Sock puppets are dull.
