Edinburgh dropped standard offer

Noticed that Edinburgh dropped pretty much all of the standard offers to the business school from AAA to AAB during the christmas period

I didnt know they were able to do this, since people had already applied. I mean im not complaining but its a little confusing. Why would they do this?

Fewer applications than expected? allocated more spaces this year? lowered based on analysis of previous years actual results?

any reason they want really.
