Switching from Beng Meng in third year

Hi,

I'm currently in my third year studying an Engineering Beng and due to graduate in July, however I am now considering continuing another year to complete a Meng. I achieved a first in second year.

Is it too late for me to switch onto the Meng to complete a fourth year?

Thanks.

Hi,

It may be, go and contact your course officer to see if they will let you stay on.
If they dont just apply to another uni they will take you.

Thanks you for your reply, I am meeting my tutor this week.

Its mainly due to funding as an Msc is not funded the way an Meng is. Financially an Msc for me would be unfeasible and you can't continue an Meng at another university.

It's entirely down you your department and whether they've got space on the course and you've got the grades.

Very likely too late, but only your department can answer definitively.
