Finishing first year mid-May?

That's when my exams finish.

But my uni's website says the summer term finishes 10th July? So am I expected to attend uni even after my exams?
No, as soon as exams are over you're usually free to go. They just have general term dates as some course's exams go on for a bit later.

You’re at University now, not school 😂

Once your last exam and assignment is completed and assuming you’ve got no re-takes, you’re now free until the start of the next academic year.

This is usually late September/Early October

I know, I was just making sure because I got an attendance warning.
