PCR

Can I please know how PCR exactly is helpful? Why is making so many copies of DNA or a DNA fragment exactly useful?

PCR is useful in things like crime because making multiple copies means it's easier to test and also keep some copies.
also some analysis requires a larger quantity of the DNA to actually work i.e many copies
the word exam boards like is amplify this suggests its just emphasising the DNA by using multiple copies making analysis easier
