What was the big scandal that happened at your school?

I would a pupil getting expelled for punching a teacher.

in our school a year 13 guy *head of house* got a year 12 girl drugged up and made a sex tape with her. it all came to light when he got caught showing his friends the sex tape in a study lesson

Whole lot got expelled.
Parents spent a fortune on lawyers and bribing the school so they would be allowed back on the premises to sit exams.
Alas only one was sentenced to custody and served time.
One of the gap year students at my boarding school was allegedly a pedophile. She was swiftly sent back to New Zealand.
there was a shy quiet dude at school and he went on work experience and got caught jerking off in the toilets. due to the sheer humiliation by teachers and kids he went off the rails completely and turned to drugs, turning up to school drunk, self harming, posting these texts of fights with parents on fb, really weird stories about him surfaced. then one day he left school and no one ever saw him again

A girl who had titled parents was caught taking drugs, at my school which was a private all girls school.
Our science teacher got expelled because on of the students alleged that he was trying to have sex with her.

To this day, we're not sure who was lying... The student has a long history of manipulation and mental illness but we decided to take her word for it.
Our PE teacher got done for being a pedo. He used to walk through our changing rooms while we were getting dressed 🤢
I crashed the school email network back in year 9 by creating a group chat with it. Basically a DDOS.

I went to a primary boarding school up to age 13 when you take the CE exams. They had a scheme that New Zealanders would come to work at the school doing gap years. The guys would normally work at the stables, on the farm and help with sports. The ladies would usually help in pre-prep (under 9s). Although this particular gap student took an interest in the older 13 year olds.

I'm not really sure what the arrangement was with New Zealand. The school seemed to have special relationships with a few countries for reasons unknown.
Our head teacher was exposed for having a fifteen year affair with a previous student whilst he was 28 and the girl was 16 and he taught her. His wife was pregnant at the time, he very nearly lost his job.

Gonna cheat and talk about my family's schools since the cesspool I went to was uninteresting.

The guy at my mum's school who used to unclip the girls' bras turned out to be a sex offender.

Sticking with my mum's school.
A teacher knocked a kids head on the table and scarred him badly and then he returned to the same school after a few months.

From my brother's school - a guy and a girl joined a terrorist organisation in the middle east and another guy joined ISIS, all dead now.
Our pe teacher married a student during the summer holidays after we left at 16. It had to have been going on when she was under age.
She married with her parents permission obviously at 16. Nothing came of it, it was just gossip. But it was in the 80s
Someone got set on fire once in Chemistry.

And we had a pedophile teacher, prison for 5 years, then became a cab driver, then fired from his job because he didn't disclose his criminal record. To be fair he was one of the worst arsh0les I've known. It's not like he was even 'nice' to kids. He never assaulted anyone. He was a tactful bully, and tended to take their side. He got found having loads of kid porn on school computers.

And I remember a fight over a break-up in the library. A book cuboard got thrown over a rail onto the lower floor apparently. I was not there.
Girl gave birth in Y11, rumours had been going round for 2 years that she was having a relationship with a (much older) science teacher. Honestly, when you look at the little lad, he's the spitting image of the teacher :'). I don't know how they got away with it - but they were slightly different days then, and you could definitely get away with more!
A few more from my mum's school, schools must have been different in the 80s;

A boy was lost on a trip abroad and never found apparently.

A girl became a crackhead at 13, and everyone stopped caring about her even her parents.

The funniest thing was after people moved from friend reunited to Facebook, there was a guy in his 40s who posted something along the line of " all you bullies from school look at me now, anyone wanna try anything now?"
Which was quite interesting.
