A few more from my mum's school, schools must have been different in the 80s;

A boy was lost on a trip abroad and never found apparently.

A girl became a crackhead at 13, and everyone stopped caring about her even her parents.

The funniest thing was after people moved from friend reunited to Facebook, there was a guy in his 40s who posted something along the line of " all you bullies from school look at me now, anyone wanna try anything now?"
Which was quite interesting.

School was indeed very different in the 80s

All I’m getting from this thread that schools nowadays are absolute dumps.

Anyways my school was on national television because we rejected someone from our school, they tried to sue the school and lost. I won’t elaborate any further because if you search this up you will find my school, then I’m afraid I’ll have to make you disappear.

We lost out entire technical dept to a combination of trying to touch boys willies, punching boys in the balls and looking down girls tops. For a while any tech students had to go to outside classes at another school, apparently no substitutes were willing to step in for a while.

The Schools mains response to this was to spend loadsa £££ on a 3m odd high brushed steel anti nonce fence around the whole school. How this was supposed to deal with pervy teachers was never explained.

I crashed the school email network back in year 9 by creating a group chat with it. Basically a DDOS.


A DDOS attack is really harmless and a bit of fun.
There was a few at my school, one year at war with another which ended in a massive playground brawl. Another was our Drama teacher shagged a sixth former and she was 45. The other one was our PE teacher who was married with a kid had an affair with the art and textiles teacher.

Ours was awful, made other schools look like heaven. One other thing I remember our Food Technology teacher had a dildo in her handbag which someone manage to uncover, just slightly awkward for her.

Okay then. Your school seems like a waste of government money with that state.
Some students in my school got caught taking viagra. Let’s just say that they were in a hard situation when they got caught...

One of my teachers committed suicide.

One of the students went on a lads trip after finishing his GCSEs and ended up dying after falling off a cliff. I know it’s not directly linked to something happening in my school but it made the news. His father was a teacher in my school at the time too.

The caretaker at my school murdered his wife (who was also a member of staff at my school) and dumped her body in my school car park. He then tried to cover it up by asking other members of staff if they’d seen her.

Yes they did close it down not long after I left.
One time someone hacked into the school systems and ordered himself thousands of pounds worth of tech. A year 9 was caught smoking weed in the toilets.

Another time our school was on national news.

Not a scandal but my school is in a really rough area and there have been multiple shootings and stabbings. Some of which have appeared on London news. Our school has been put in lockdown many times.

My school was on ITV news as it was a news report concerning the rise of measles within London schools. I got measles and apparently PHE went into the school.

In a previous school I went to. 3 people had committed suicide and the school were really bad at dealing with bullying - why I left. They also had to have armed police protection once because a high profile gang threatened to attack the school.
