Year 11 GCSE students still working in lockdown

Why are some schools making year 11s carry on working at home on GCSEs post cancellation of GCSEs. It seems unfair to submit work now with help from home, school, internet and books with unlimited time to try and increase their grades awarded. Other schools have shut and stopped year 11 work. Seems some ‘cheating’ can go on if new work can be set now?
If you want to take certain subjects at A-Level you will need GCSE knowledge.

Assuming you want to take A-Levels, at least do the work set for those subjects.
