Should the goverment pay student finance next academic year?
more importantly can the gov afford to pay out students 9k willy nilly. where exactly would they get the money from? wouldn't it be better to use it towards NHS and social services?

Except its a loan and ofc they should.
Students are a long term investment and are the tax payers of the future.
September is a long way away and your alternative is to scrap higher education except for the rich which would cause most of the unis to collapse. and then all the students and a lathe part of people in the education system could go and sign for UC.
Why would that be a good idea?

its not a good idea; it whether it will result from government not being able to afford to be paying out student loans

Yes they will be paid for the above reasons.
In future the system could be more expensive or changed.
I see no reason why they should.

Guys anyone tried to apply for a master loan this week? it seems they do not offer loans at the moment. did anyone else encountered this issue? Their phone line is off as well..
Postgraduate loan applications aren’t due to open until the end of June.
