Neuroscience/neuroimaging career

Thanks for reading this.

I'm currently on a gap year and I have an offer to study biomedical science with a placement year.

I enjoy biomedical science and the disciplines but prefer the neuroscience part of it more than anything.

After some work experience and seeing what biomed graduates do after their degree....I don't want to be in a position where I'm a lab assistant earning 18k a year.

I want to go into neuroimaging or something clinical related to neuroscience, avoiding a medical degree if possible.

Should I continue with this degree, would I be able to take a postgrad course in neuro that would allow me to work in neuroimaging? Or do I have to do a psychology degree? Because clinical psychology is something I am considering, but I don't want to do a psychology degree and miss out on the fun neuroscience bits.

I hope this makes sense and it would be great if you could give me some advice about careers or prospects with these degree options.

Thanks
I just don't want to go through the whole process of studying medicine and doing all the placements just to specialise in neuroscience many many years down the line. But if it will get me where I want the it's something I'd oncsider.

The other thread doesn't really explain much in terms of careers, they just talk about the quality of those unis, hence why I made this one
thanks so much 👍👍👍
