I had a substance test last Friday a couple of weeks after submitting security vetting forms so hoping the ball is well and truly rolling now! Hope things are moving for others! Kind of seems like it?!

Yeah I did both a few weeks ago too, hopefully things are moving forward slowly. Wish there wasn’t such a long wait!

I was recruited in the 2019 campaign and have a start date in a couple of weeks (london). i think it all depends on location!

Hi - I'm new to this thread, and trying to get some advice for anyone who has applied for a London position. I had my interview for a g6 role about a month ago , but havent heard anything since my interview. How long did it take for u to hear your interview results? I wanted to know whether its worth me sending my first chase up email (currently in my 5th waiting week since interview) or to just wait it out?
I had an interview mid July and was told I'd hear the results in 2 weeks, and got my email saying I'd been successful and placed in the candidate pool in the first week of September. I did chase after 2 weeks and they said they had finished deciding so I don't know if it made any difference that I did chase! After being placed in the candidate pool, I had a provisional offer at the beginning of October and waiting for all the paperwork to be proceeded

I don't see how it can hurt to email. I'm in exactly the same situation. They said 3 weeks but since the accompanying pdf says interviews throughout October / November I suspect this to be a bit of a fictional estimate. They did apologise in advance at the interview for the glacial pace of the process....

I've been in the same position as you but heard today that I'm in the candidate pool. What about you?

My preferences are south west and london. I achieved all 6s and a 4 at the interview.. I'm just wondering how likely I am to be placed somewhere in those locations with those marks? Has anyone been placed without achieving all 6s? Thanks!

Congrats on the job offer! Can I ask what you scored at the interview? Also what your location preference(s) was? 😊

I scored quite low in the interview - was super nervous - but the role I was going for is in HR instead so think that has made a difference to the speed of it (there was a note on the candidate pool email saying I'd likely be placed quickly due to the role being specialist). I only had Bristol as my location preference and that's where I've been placed. Had my substance test this week and filled my security forms in a couple of weeks ago so hopefully it won't be long until I get a start date
For those who have now been posted - could you give an insight on how look it took from receiving your offer to starting? I got my offer in August and have since completed my security vetting, substance misuse test and psychological assessment. Hopefully I am not far away now...

I knew I'd got the job in July despite being in the candidate pool until September because they were doing the big campaigns first. I'm in the same position as your currently, having completed all vetting and pre-employment checks. I'm told they're looking to place for January start dates now and to expect my start date any day now.
Brilliant. Is this in Warrington?

Hey everyone. Very new to this discussion. I am part of the business support 2019 campaign. I have been informed I was successful summer 2019 and completed all my vetting and substance tests. I am still in the candidate pool and awaiting posting in to Birmingham. Has everyone here been posted now and is that why it’s quiet here? Just asking as my 12 months is coming up soon and anxious that I’m not going to get placed! Any info or experiences from you all would be greatfull.

Hi. Have you heard anything further? I am on the same campaign.
I was part of 2019 cohort as well. I'm still in the pool but not been placed, no test etc. My year will be up this month so expecting a polite goodbye!

Hey. Where are you waiting to be placed? Have you not had a substance test? I’ve heard there’s a possibility that the 12 months may be extended as it was for the 2018 campaign. Have you had much contact from the recruitment team?

Hi guys,
I have recently applied for a G6 business support officer position and just been invited to a video interview (due to Covid). Please could I ask what the application process is like, as I have read a lot on here a lot about a psychological, medical and substance misuse test? What do these entail please? And what is the assessment centre like? If anyone has any interview tips for me I would be very grateful, please? Thanks 😊

Not had a substance test.

I am waiting for Gartcosh (Glasgow) - No contact from recruitment other than the monthly boards. I did email them last month and as far as they were aware no extension was being given to the 12 month pool.
Hi Guys, hope you are all well! I have my interview for the G5 Business Support Officer role coming up soon (17th of July) and am excited to take part and hopefully proceed further. From what I have read through this thread, the process takes a very long time! is this true? what were peoples experiences? considering Covid, I imagine the process could take even longer. So far, the application date closed on the 4th of June and I got my interview invitation on the 16th, interview scheduled for the 17th of July (for me, this seems relatively quick I guess?) but I imagine the process after this (if im successful) will take a lot longer! any other insight from recent applicants?Cheers

Hey! I applied for the G6 Business Support Assistant which closed on the 4th May, I had my interview on the 2nd July and waiting to see if I was successful or not! I’m not too sure how long it will take, on the application timeline it said that interviews will go on till September?! It must be so frustrating to be put into the candidate pool and have to wait so long, has anyone else applied for the G6 role at all?
