Gay

I'm worried I might be gay, because I don't want to have to deal with homophobia. Let me tell you the story.

I was exercising recently around my local park, I was just jogging, when I came across this man. He must have been around 6', tough looking, good build, and was fairly handsome. But, when he took his top off, I halted and glanced at him. I couldn't take my eyes off him, until he began looking at me with a confused expression, at which point I jogged on. But since then, I can't take him off my mind, that image of him with no shirt on is haunting me and it's all I can think about. I only used to be attracted to women, but they are not doing anything for me.

Please, this is not a troll post and I can't sleep due to being so worried. Should I come out as gay?

It depends how long ago this happened. I have a couple friends who are in LGBTQ+ community but I don't have any experiences with it personally. Maybe wait a bit longer if it only happened a week ago because you don't want to come out right away and then realise that you aren't because many people will call you attention seeking. Could you talk to some friends of yours who are gay?

I don't know anyone who is gay, this website is my only chance. But, I will wait this one out and see what happens. Although I pray to God, that I'm not homosexual.

what for?

Because I can't stop wondering about that guy, literally as I write this, he is on my mind. Should I try to find him?

Yeah, but that doesn't mean you have to tell anyone you might be gay.

being gay shouldn't be something you should be afraid of. Being gay is a part of you.

now you obviously think its a sexuality so you have to come out. but if you feel that your gonna get hit with homophobia, then don't. being asexual, i know my parents won't agree with me so i will never tell them

but about coming out, I would say look into the different sexualities and think about how you feel inside you. you might be gay you might not be or you might be something different. have a look around

Yeah, but that doesn't mean you have to tell anyone you might be gay.

But I'm a freak and don't want to be one. That's why I'm terrified of being gay.

I'm 23, don't see how that's relevant?

teens are often confused about their sexuality, hence my question. you should probably start with gay porn and see if you like it or not.

I don't like the idea of two men sucking each other off, I find that repulsive. During my teen years, I was only into the opposite sex, which I thought I still was, until that guy came along.

So despite being into women for years, you now think you are gay after seeing one guy with his top off?

well, do you like the idea of that guy sucking you off? if you still find it repulsive, then it's probably just a random fascination. like, just because you think someone's good looking doesn't make you gay.

He looked like this guy, only more tough.

I know that not knowing how to label yourself can be extremely stressful but you don't need to rush. Take your time, try to discover yourself and don't be afraid of "changing labels". It's not black and white. Sexuality, after all, is a spectrum. And we're all somewhere in the middle.

Since a very young age, I was convinced I was a 100% gay but now I'm questioning again. And that's fine.

Remember that your sexuality doesn't affect your value. And you still will be loved no matter who you identify as.

Did you grow up in a homophobic or religious environment?

So I take it you're gay, and let's just assume you thought a woman was attractive, that wouldn't make you bi? I don't think I'd like the idea of a man going near my private parts.

It could be a crush on just one really good looking guy. I'm pretty sure other people have a crush on the same gender but don't consider themselves as gay. I mean lots of girls on a night out will kiss there friends but then act like nothing happened the next morning.
