Concentrating

I need a better way to concentrate on my school work at home. My phone is my biggest distraction. I play music because it keeps me off my phone but sometimes the music will end up distracting me instead, so does anyone have any better tips?
(please don't suggest to just turn my phone off, I've tried it)

Try using the pomodoro method.

i've tried and a 10 minute break always turns into like an hour :/

i just start singing along or dancing or something and i end up focusing on the music that rather then my work :/
it distracts me less then not having it on at all though, so its better then nothing but still not ideal i guess

Omg I totally understand. You could try using music that is overplayed or music that is decent enough to listen that it's in the background?

I have song suggestions but it's like my fav so I cant really help with that aspect. I suggest looking at pop songs that is very popular

I revise with songs, it helps me concentrate more and also helps with active recall as I associate a song with the topic I was learning.

Another tip don't wear headphones or earphones just keep it playing out loud if you are in your own space. Also suggest playing Lo-Fi either as is or Lo-Fi with word edited.
