Most of these are what I played when younger so they're quite old now and mostly nintendo... For non nintendo things I'd recommend Metal Gear Solid (especially 3 but play in number order), Mass effect trilogy, Half life 2 and Ace attorney. The Last of us and God of war are good if you have a sony console too.

Super mario galaxy was my favourite and no one gets why. That game was a piece of art imo.

I'm not sure unpopular this is but I actually preferred episode 1 over episode 2 because I just hate the final part with the hunters so much...at least being able to kill them with a car made it easier. I might just have unpopular opinions though as I prefer Prime 2 over Prime 1 :O

Yep pretty much everything about it was perfect. I think the second one beats it in terms of soundtrack but galaxy 2 likes to have a really repetitive formula of intro level, boss, secret star, 3 green stars which limits the levels a lot as more exploration would be more interesting. My favourite galaxy of the two is in galaxy 2 though, rightside down galaxy.
It's far too difficult to pick just 5 tbh but I'll give it a go
