Psychology MSc Online Conversion course?

I am looking to start my Psychology masters, it would need to be done online and be a BPS approved conversion course!

Has ANYONE studied this with Derby / Northumbria / BPP...? Or any others that I am unaware of?

Desperately need some insider info as to which university to go for!

I started the psychology conversion masters at Derby Sept 2018.
I have a first class honours in teaching and was achieving firsts on my assignments with Derby, but I found the workload entiry unmanageable. To put it into context, I studied the part time route, but work two days a week and have two children under 5.
I just found that amount of time you needed to invest in watching online sessions, reading resources, learning about SPSS was endless. I worked in a group with 3 other people via video calls to create a huge assignment, and they were all doing it part time too, 2 were also working, young children, and they also felt totally overwhelmed. The one lady who was not working nor had any children felt more on top of it, but we all felt that, coming from non psychology undergrads, we were expected at Derby to understand things already that you would only know from studying a psychology bachelors. They didn't seem to bridge the gap very well, just kind of throw you straight in the deep end.
I think that If you have hours everyday to commit yourself to it you will manage it well, but i wouldn't recommend Derby to anyone!

If you don't mind me asking, did you end up graduating from the course? (asking because I have some questions about prospects after the course..)
Anyways props to you for juggling a part-time job, kids and an online masters all at once!

I dropped it spring 2019, began a conversion psychology masters in a brick uni, part time last sept. Even through a pandemic and ironically home studying, its been much more manageable and feel way more supported. I'd like to be an Ed psych eventually, that's my long term goal. I hope you find the right course, i wanted to share my experience as I searched this site for similar insight before starting the online conversion course and wish id known a bit more! Good luck

How about the conversion master degree distance learning by Arden university? Have anyone heard of it? I have no psychology background, so I think I need a longer period of time to digest information and integrate ideas. Arden allow students to complete the course in 5 years. And their fee is relatively reasonable. Can I ask for some insider insight?

Hey guys,I am just about to graduate from BPP University which provides an MSc conversion course in Psychology, accredited by the BPS. I loved every minute of it. It's very well structured, very friendly and helpful staff, and provides a great online community for discussing topics for your various modules. Highly recommend!
