Well as a girl myself, I think it’s bc models/ celebs with thigh gasp were everywhere and so to me it seemed like I was considered ‘beautiful’ or ‘socially accepted’ if I had a thigh gap amongst the other 1000+ other beauty standards that are set for females. I’m honestly over it, I try and stay away from all the toxic stuff on ig and other medias
