Robert Ringo went for a hike in Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California when he fell and broke his leg. He was stuck in the desert with no mobile service for 40 hours before he was found by a search and rescue helicopter team.

He is recovering from a broken femur but looks forward to hiking again.

Anybody else just smile when they see these survival stories?
The fact that he's still looking forward to hike again makes me smile too hahaha

How do you break your femur and seemingly nothing else?

Good on him for taking precautions with his location and family, and staying calm

In fairness it doesn't actually say he broke nothing else, that might just be the worst of his injuries perhaps? Or the most notable / long term.

I know! It's really great that he's able to come back from an experience like that and not be put off. Incredible.
I read this as hitler and was very confused :hide:

What an awesome guy, props to him :hat2:
