psychology - university of southampton

I'm starting my course this September and have a few questions:
- What does the timetable look like for first year? how many weeks off for the summer holidays?
- How many lectures per week?
- What can I do to prepare for psychology?
- When and where did you buy the textbooks?
- What are statistics/SPSS like?
- What laptop should I buy (especially for SPSS)?
- What is the workload like in terms of essays and lab reports?
- What help will I receive if I'm struggling with the content?

sorry these are a lot of questions I just want to be prepared

I am on the same course. Here is what a typical timetable may look like:

Monday: 10 to 11; 2 to 4; 4 to 6.
Tuesday: 11 to 1
Wednesday: Clear
Thursday: 11 to 1
Friday 1 to 2

P.S, the timetable was sent to me by this user - (Thanks to) @charlocat

For preparation just go over the textbooks and start studying - this is what I have done. Don't buy the books, find them online for free; I can send them to you if you wish.
