Why are Mexican and Spanish language so similar?

They are the same language (minus a few regional differences I'd imagine), as Mexico was formerly a Spanish colony.
Mexicans don't have their own language. They all speak Spanish.

Some speak Indian languages, but yes, almost all Mexicans speak Spanish.
