Okay so I went on another (penultimate) practice drive and omg it was not that good, I think I made one serious driving fault and then one dangerous fault and then a couple of driving faults, am I right in assuming the following faults are indeed faults:
So I had to turn night on an A road but was in the left lane and so in an attempt to move into the right, I moved over but slowly but this was because I had just turned into this A road so naturally was gonna take time to speed up (just before the lane change I was at like 23 mph on a 40mph road) and then had to change lanes again further into the right and I did this one so fast and barely any observations and even managed to go across the hatched markings- I'm guessing this would be a serious fault for speed when I was changing from left to middle and then a dangerous fault for the second lane change from middle to right?
The minors (in my opinion were as follows):
I had to turn right from the main road into the side road and a car pulled out from that side road (to turn left btw) despite the fact I had priority so obviously I had to stop and the car then reversed back into the side road and I then continued, I think this would be a driving fault for obstruction? or is this a more serious fault?
I thought a car that was coming towards me was pulling up on the right in a residential area (when what they were doing is winding around the parked cars) and so I kept on going and I slowed down a little quickly (but safely still) when I realised that it hadn't actually stopped. a minor for either judgement or awareness or even brakes?
I hesitated on a roundabout on multiple occasions so probably would have gotten like 5 minors for this (so ultimately a serious fault)
Another issue with giving way- a car was coming towards me and I misjudged where to stop so the car gave way to me instead, since I didn't actually stop I didn't signal so would this be a minor for both signalling and judgement?
There were most probably like another 2-3 minors I think so all together I think I made like 10-14 driving faults and then one serious and one dangerous fault?
Idk I did try and drive safely today but misread the satnav directions and turned right WAY earlier than I needed to and because I panicked that I'd gone the wrong way, I made these two mistakes. My dad said the lane change may have been considered a minor but I disagree and I realise that had I just continued in the middle lane, I would have not made that dangerous fault, I guess this is a lesson in being more aware of the satnav (but tbf my voice stuff on the satnav doesn't work that well so I had to basically look at the map which is also really bad lmao whilst focusing on the road)
On the test, do they have their own satnav or do I need to use my car one? The one in my car is pretty bad because the voice directions are sometimes working and then randomly switch off halfway through and you don't even realise when
