The 130 million spent on coutinho and 100 million spent on griezmann who have both flopped so far. Thats already 230 million spent

They've spent a fortune on players without much of a coherent plan. A bit like the Galacticos model of old Real Madrid. Too many expensive players on huge wages and yet few have had a positive impact on the first XI. The core players are ageing and succession planning has been poor too.

The board has to be at fault since they have oversight / decide the managers / have been picking transfer targets. Barcelona need to rethink their board/management structure as a whole if they want to improve over the long term.

If the board blame the players, you'll see an exodus and then be in an even worse position next year.

I blame the players much more than the board. The players have let the team down badly, including the old and new players.

Also a pity they came up against Bayern who are one of the most ruthless and efficient teams in Europe and have put many other top sides to the sword in no time at all.

But Barca need to start again and rebuild. Sell Busquets/Pique/Vidal/Suarez. Barca need to start again and build up some kind of ethos with key signings. Maybe even sell Messi, he's sort of become part of the problem and just feel as if him leaving would be "the end" of that era.
But Barcelona were one of the very best sides of all time, what we are seeing is historic and will be spoken about for decades in football circles. They wont find it easy to recover.

The media and pundits are pointing to the board, as they ultimately decide which players come and go. But let us not forget that the board actually invested more money on top new players over the last 5 years than at any time in their history. As for selling Neymar, that was not their fault, given that Neymar wanted to leave. Iniesta and Xavi, as well as Puyol and Villa, were way past their best and had to leave, and did leave. It is incredibly tough to replace those calibre of players at present, where there is clearly not that sort of talent available.
