The in demand subject for Economics tends to be Maths.

I got a 5 in maths, I needed a six :/ do you think I still have a chance at doing economics in uni?
Yes if you go lower down the food chain as its mostly top unis that require it.

Lots of unis will do economics with no need for Maths but the point is the subject involves a lot of maths.
You need to check your target unis to see what they require, based on your grades.
The other alternative is to do Economics with foundation year.

You do a prep year before you start the main degree.
