Sixth Forms in London

I’m going into Year 11 and need to apply to some new sixth forms because my schools far too pressurising and everyone is really really academics focussed to the point where there is no social aspect whatsoever to school. I wanna apply to Woodhouse, Holland Park and Westminster. Lmk what the socials are like at them!!!

Westminster School and/or Harris Westminster are...not exactly known for not being highly academics focused

Westminsters at least definitely party hard too, though, but not the school for you if you don't want to be worked to the bone.

I'd like to say hwsf is academically focused because I've heard it's too academically focused 😂 why do you think it's not?

my school haydon is rated by ofsted as outstanding. i personally love it there students are lovely except a few minority but they really are a few. the teachers are so so so helpful and teaching quality is good. i moved recently and the school has given me everything new subjects , new friends and the help i needed to succeed personally and academicly.even the high up teachers will find time to help you and i have the assistant head for sociology and she jist let me chill in her office once as i had a bad day and just let me sit there and read sociology.
oh yeah its also in the posher part of hillingdon and the schools middle class.
its in northwood or more people think of it being in ruilsip. its in the bourough of hillingdon and is close to the border of hertfordshire. very near watford amd rickmansworth as well and its neighbors bourough of harrow as well as ealing.
social od say its a good mix of academic and social but i am going into year 11 so ita a little different for me but it has a biggish section in the school dedicated to sixth form and its where the sixth formers hang and socialise. i know for a fact that my year are very sociable especially the girls😂 also depends on who you find as friends though but that goes for everywhere

at hwsf there are exams each month apparently so idk. it's really subjective. apparently if you are organised then it's not hard to keep up.

Westminster definitely has a great social life, I enjoyed it much more than my previous school. I'm not that into partying personally but there was definitely a massive party scene, and it tapped into the London private school network too.

I mean, I think it is? Double negative up there

They have weekly assessments and very high standards - I knew a few people who hated it and one apparently left.

 Yup it seemed very pressured. Worked well for some people who were really looking for that, less so for others who had other plans than hours of homework!
