And Trump will push for a third term?!

Yes, the world ends when your lefty candidate gets "defrauded" by an electorate that can't stand him.

The Dems don't care if they lose to Trump. Yep, makes total sense. They should've gone with the winning Jezza strategy!

The membership and voters do, the donors and party establishment, no - what Trump does for the most part won't affect them, their investments and power are protected so long as there's no even remotely left wing power (Bernie and Warren were in the grand scheme of things centrists/just left of centre). Frankly they'll probably instead make bank off donations etc from the #resistance

Apart from the dubiousness of some of these links - the first, for example, is John Turano, aka "Based Spartan", a guy who's known for routinely turning up at these rallies and trying to start fights with counterprotesters, and his daughter who Nawaz refers to as a "little girl" is in fact a 26-year-old woman - what makes you think the protesters are trying to win over voters? They're not running for office.

But the riots and the violence is undoing all of that. Middle america doesn't buy that the riots are trumps fault, they can clearly see far-left individuals causing this, and trump just calling for law and order, biden and the democrats have more than linked themselves to the protestors/rioters and all of a sudden, biden whose best selling point is how safe/reliable he is, is now the candidate of riots, burning buildings and beating up opposition.

Citation heavily needed. Polling actually indicates that:
- The majority of Americans think Trump is making the unrest worse.
- A near-majority think Biden has neither made things better nor worse.
- A majority think Biden would be better than Trump at reducing violence, handling racial discrimination, and keeping them safe.

Also, in what way has Biden "more than linked themselves to the protesters/rioters"? He's explicitly denounced them and even said they should be prosecuted!

I still think that Biden wins, but if the democrats don't realise that they need to cool down the protests

For a start, what makes you think they can? What makes you think the protesters give a damn what Biden or Pelosi or Schumer say? Remember the Democrats are the opposition party!

But let's assume they can, just for the sake of argument; Biden and the Democrats have the ability to end the unrest, while Trump and the Republicans do not. So... what exactly would be Biden's incentive to do so now? How would that benefit him? You're arguing that Americans who want to end the unrest would vote for the candidate who can't end it over the candidate who can?

What a stupid thing to say. I mean the actions of a violent and hysterical mob of people chasing, not just these two people around (regardless if she's his daughter or a 26-year old woman), but countless others across the country, often assaulting them, is swaying the vote.

That's at best unproven. As noted in my above post, polling evidence suggests Trump as dealing with the unrest poorly and think Biden will deal with it better. In terms of head-to-head polling, there is some very slight evidence that Trump has been doing marginally better over the past week or so than he has been most of the summer. But we're talking about an improvement from him being ~8-9 points down to being ~7-8 points down, and it's just as likely that that was a convention bounce rather than a response to anything in Kenosha or Portland.

Disgusting.

Jezza might have lost the election... but he won the argument :toofunny:

They chose the two worst possible candidates to stand against him. They are out on the streets shouting and screaming death to America, attacking and killing people, promoting censorship, violence, the destruction of families, anarchy, lawlessness, looting. It's like the Democrats are trying their best to make him win.
