Competition: Write a Poem About Nature

It's competition time again!:yay:

Here in Creative corner we love a good poetry session, and this time the theme is nature: since TSR is celebrating the start of Autumn. :awesome:

You could write a poem about the environment, seasons, plants, animals or anything else you can think of.

Your poem doesn't have to be directly about Nature, you could make it about human nature, or any other take on the theme that you might have. :colondollar:

Remember if you think something you're sharing could be quite emotional for somebody to read, you may want to add a Content Warning at the start and maybe place your poem in a spoiler.

If you're struggling, or can't think of anything then just share a poem that you like from somebody else (and make sure to give them credit).

The competition will close on 30th September, and the winner announced (by me) shortly after.

The prize is a handsome 250 rep points for the winner, and a cool 100 rep points for the runner up! :ahee:

Also Please note you can post anonymously in this forum.

Quoting in everybody who posted in the last poetry competition (about pride). :hugs:

Ooh a chance to get my creative on - yes please!
The sun rose up over the dark horizon filling the air with a warm promise of spring.
The sweet scent of petals and rose hips filled the chill and warm breeze.
The brown ground filled with pink petals and the green meadows sprinkled with blue buttercups.
The sky filled with passionate mix of scarlet and crimson.
The vault of heaven opened up to pour down torrents of light turning the leaves golden yellow.
The young buds opened their eyes for the first time to take a glimpse on the Earth, blushed pink at the beauty of the green land.

The glistening green leaves as soft as a baby’s hand.
The dew drops rolled like pearls on the green beds of the meadows sparkling in the sun.
The malignant hot sun filled the dawn with its heavenly glow of love and warmth, and the blue sky with its fiery red colour.
The newly born red blood cherries hanging proudly on the brown branches.
The milky speckles of spotted roses seen up and down the unparalleled panaromic view of the green Earth.
The wonders perched on the balcony overlooking the Spring Moon.

I Call this poem : The Dead Flower”

Drowning in sorrows I lay, the rain wounding me,
Like a dead flower, our love grew stagnant, each tree,
Each leaf, withered with ease in this calamity.

Glued to the musty floor, choking on air,
Each breath a commodity, filled with a lovers’ despair,
A prisoner in my own prison there is not a shred of comfort or care.

Clean drawn streaks of red rivers grew in volume and size,
A mountainous museum emerged from the soft sand, wet buttoned eyes,
a mirage of promises , he was a devil in an angels’ disguise.

As the sun winks goodnight, the flower continues shedding petals,
Layered on the floor like a white carpet, its battles,
Its journey, continue as the snake glares as it guards and its tail rattles.

A breath so long yet so short, an endless trap he laid,
The sky appeared blurry yet I saw the memories of love fade,
A glimpse of reality flared as it was too late to fix the mess my husband made.

Drowning in sorrow he lay, the rain wounding him,
Like a dead flower, our love grew stagnant, each tree,
Each leaf, withered with ease by his animosity.
