Why can x ( less than or equal to) 0 and 3 < x not be combined into a single inequality?

means can take values like 0 , -1 , -2, .... and so on.

means that can take on values like 4 , 5, 6, ... and so on.

These are two intervals which go off into two different directions without ever overlapping. You cannot combine them into a single inequality like because this describes different values.

Thanks! In my book it says: because if we simplify 0 (greater than or equal to) x <3 we get 0 ( greater than or equal to) 3
Can u please explain how we get that?

Well, if and then you can imagine joining them up and saying that

but of course this is an issue, because it tells us that which is not true, therefore we cannot write this inequality.
