Is it because you don't have Maths A level? I would look into foundation years for people who have chosen the wrong subjects, such as this one at Sheffield, although you will need maths GCSE at grade 7. If you're not that good at maths, Engineering may not be the right course for you.

Foundation course.
There are lots out there - a really good way to get started in Engineering as it will give you an insight into different areas of Engineering, before you choose a more specialised full degree.

HND
This may give you automatic access to the 2nd year of a degree course.
HND at Portsmouth - https://www.port.ac.uk/study/courses/hnd-general-engineering
HND at Coventry - https://www.coventry.ac.uk/cuc/course-structure/hnc-hnd-degree/2020-21/electro-mechanical-engineering/

Armed Forces
You will get an apprenticeship and may get selected to take a degree - https://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/careers/roles-and-specialisations/branches/engineering

It may vary for place to place, but IME HNC/D isn't an automatic entry to anything, we needed to achieve a distinction to even be considered for degree along with having picked specific electives. Even then we still had to apply and sell ourselves.

It is difficult to answer this without knowing why you dont meet the requirement. Many universities will require A level Maths so that could be the issue. In that case you would either have to take A level Maths or take a foundation year. However it is possible you might get accepted by some universities without A level Maths as you might be accepted on the Maths included in your BTEC. The double BTEC is I assume a diploma which is equivalent to 2 A Levels. I have just had a quick check and Anglia Ruskin for example doesnt have the Maths requirement although grade 6 at GCSE Maths is required.

Thank you @swanseajack1 and @anon1155
This is correct information, ARU do not have the mathematics requirement at A-Level, UCAS Tariff points acquired from BTEC Level 3 Diplomas are accepted and Maths at GCSE needs to be Level 6 or B, as Swanseajack1 states.

If you'd like to, please attend our virtual open day to ask more questions about the course to our lecturers and you can even chat with admissions to find out more about entry. Meanwhile, all of our entry requirements are on each individual course pages, so I will link each course page below for our variety of courses below. If you have any questions let me know.
