And Is (i) correct?

For (ii) the u sign means things in A AND B but since there is a ‘ it means not in B so what I thought was - Things in A and not in B so I took 1 and my answer for (ii) was 1 if that makes sense

For (ii) X u Y is the set of things that are either in X OR Y (or both).

For 36 I did 5+9=14 50-14=36
and for (ii) There is a symbol (' next to the B which stands for 'Not In' so does that not matter in this question?
