Should I see a Councillor?

Not gonna put any context :P but out of a school Councillor and one from outside (don't know how else to say it) which one should I go to? And when/why would they involve other mental health services?

School counsellors can be helpful, but they tend to deal with less complicated issues. MH support via your GP (either in IAPT or in secondary/tertiary care) tends to be for people with greater need or poor access to things like counselling. You could try your school counsellor first, and see if it helps? If it doesn't, speaking to your GP is a good idea too.

In the mean time, try and make sure you're taking care of your body and do what you can to support yourself in your mental health. Speak with people you trust about how they can support you as well.

You're welcome!

Should also add, that if you suspect anything specific (like an eating disorder, OCD, are suicidal, have trauma, etcetc.) it's best to go direct to your GP!

It's very unlikely to go against you in terms of jobs! Even if it wasn't, your health is more important than a job, even if it's hard to see that currently. It will only be told to universities if you have to do fitness to practice or if you choose to tell them. FTP isn't something to be too worried about, they'll just make sure you're stable and support you where needed (FTP is mostly in healthcare courses). If you choose to tell them you have a mental health difficulty they can support you better. I had a specialist mental health mentor as part of my support at university, having MH diagnoses in no way hindered me in that respect, I wasn't penalised for it at all. Had I chosen not to ask for support, I wouldn't have graduated! Having support at university meant I was able to manage my issues better (even if I struggled massively in my final year, probably should've taken a year out tbh  ).

It is hard to see that now haha, I'm not aiming for healthcare or anything, I'm going for a creative career actually haha but is still difficult. I understand health is more important tho, thanks for the kind message!

Ah, yeah, see with jobs like that, you don't even need to disclose if you don't want to. :nah:

As someone with CPTSD, I would recommend you seek help. Letting trauma fester isn't good at all.

Take care. If you need to talk, feel free to ping me or send a message. :h:

a therapist who has helped me enormously if you want to know details, she is based in north London.

I don't mind scumbags getting tortured.
Very extreme, graphic and offensive stuff. You are not justified pal and don’t deceive yourself into thinking you are.

Also is the ‘animal torture’ thing to do with veganism/meat eating or have I misinterpreted ?

I am justified into hoping scum like that get tortured.

You want to talking about deceiving? How about humanity deceiving themselves into think they are good moral people and have the right to torture and kill billions of other f ucking life forms every single year? **** humanity.

So i thought “surely not” - this cannot just be someone mad about another person eating meat but wtaf. You clearly do not value life at all so stop being a hypocrite. Also because some people are bad “f humanity” is not the logical conclusion. If you’re a troll then goodbye but if not seek help because your treatment of other actual humans is shocking
