I really want to study human sciences at Oxford. This is a pretty competitive course. I am currently studying Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Drama but I'm considering dropping chemistry. I feel like the only reason I'm taking it is to prove my academic ability to Oxford and that I can do a difficult a level, and they don't require chemistry for the course (although biology and maths are suggested). I feel like chemistry is sort of on the same wavelength as maths if that makes sense so I perceive it to give me an advantage in that way. Would my A-levels not be competitive enough to get into Oxford if I dropped chemistry? I am also considering keeping chemistry as it keeps my pathway into medicine open if I change my mind about the current career I want.
