How to deal with a bad teacher?

I have a psychology teacher who keeps waffling on about random stuff and she jumps between topics, for example, we are currently doing memory then she goes and starts attachment or even research methods without warning. She doesn't even give us time to copy notes. it's gotten to a point where the class doesn't care are just talks. So should I just teach myself AQA psychology?

I think you should try emailing the teacher and maybe say you are feeling abit lost in the subject and ask her to go over certain things with you, it would even help for a few people in the class to email her saying this. It would hopefully make her slow down and try explaining things better in class, if that fails you could always ask for her help outside of class. But i would say to go on youtube and buy a few books to teach yourself anyway just to get a good grasp of everything

Follow the specification to know exactly what is relevant to you and what is not. Also ask the other psychology teachers to explain the most difficult parts that you can't learn on your own (if there are any other teachers). The official textbook is pretty good, albeit expensive.

Is Cameron Diaz a good teacher? That was a joke.
But on a serious note, it depends on how bad. If they are just not good at teaching the curriculum, you should probably stick it out, read the textbooks, find extra-help/tutoring if need be, and just deal for however long you have them. If they are repeatedly verbally, physically or educationally(?) abusive to one or any number of students, talk to their supervisor, be that a department head or a principal.
But on a serious note, it depends on how bad.
