If you have the money to spare it is worth it, but it didn't give any of my friends a great advantage unless they were undecided in whether they wanted to do Law or not.
Good for networking and having something to write about on personal statement but there are also many cheaper(some free) opportunities elsewhere.

Hope this helped.

Academic opportunities can actually be more useful as they will relate more to what your doing. Essay competitions that you can approach from a legal perspective; Seminars and Lectures that can give you a flavour of the academic study of Law and things like a law based EPQ will really help.
In terms of experience there should be lots of free experiences(even if online). I searched up Cambridge Law Personal Statement on YT and made a list of the experiences they mentioned (Nessa Lui has a list of Work Experience opportunities). I saw lockdown as a levelling field as everyone was limited in the experiences they could participate in so I coudl be creative. Reading about Law is just as useful, for instance I couldn't go to courts to visit them due to the pandemic so I read about Online Courts and learned about how they adapted to the shift to online. I also combined this with how I listen to Law in Action (a podcast) which covers Online Courts a few times and wrote about Law and Technology.

Here are a few links that might help, sorry this was so long. Hope I helped:
