Mechanical Engineering vs Mechanical Engineering with Business Finance at UCL

Thinking of applying to either Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Business Finance at University College London (UCL). I have been predicted AAA and both courses require A*AA.

1.) Which course has less competition, therefore, easier to get onto?

2.) Is there a chance I will still get an offer will AAA even though requirement is A*AA or is all hope gone?

3.) If I apply to Mechanical Engineering with Business Finance but don't get an offer, could they still offer me a place on the Mechanical Engineering course if there is still room?
