There's one good one I read about a girl at school with a hearing aid who could hear her French teacher's thoughts. The teacher had killed his wife and thought about it, so the girl found out. Soon the teacher was suspicious, and to be sure, one time when the girl was in front of him, he called out her name in his head, and she looked back and asked what the matter was. He knew she knew, and she knew he knew.

Then it evolved to her somehow being trapped in school with him, and hearing his thoughts she knew he was almost where she was. She heard him thinking of turning on the light switch, so somehow she electrified the switch and it electrocuted him.

Now the good part. His funeral came and his coffin with delivered to the flames. The girl's hearing aid grumbled: I'll get you someday.

The girl screamed in sheer horror.
