Gcse maths, how do i solve it out and what is the answer?

if 13 bottles of water cost £8.45. how much do 11 cost
You do 8.45 divided by 13 to find the price of one bottle, then times whatever that number is by 11.
do 8.45 divided by 13 > this gets you the price of 1 bottle, and then multiply this answer by 11

you beat me to it!😂
£8.45/13= 0.65- this is the cost of one bottle.
0.65x11= 7.15
So 11 bottles cost £7.15

What about, if 17 icecreams cost £19.21, how much should 25 cost?. for that instead of dividing, do i multiply this time?

No, same method. If 17 ice creams cost £19.21, you still divide 19.21 by 17 to find the price one one and then multiply by 25 to get the price of 25 :smile:
