I haven't decided on that yet. Right now I'm looking at addiction overall eg 'why do people get addicted' then use all types of addiction as examples. If that's not specific enough then I'm more interested in drug addiction-- not just illegal drugs though

You need to be specific so definitely go for why people develop drug addictions.
