Hey there!
I've been unable to find any forums for History of Art applicants who are looking to start in 2021, so have decided to create one!
Feel free to list where you're applying, predicted grades, GCSE grades, and any offers you have so far
I know uni applications are so uncertain, especially in times like these, so hopefully this can be a place where we can chat and discuss our applications and what we love so much about History of Art, and related fields!
Lets start with my info:
GCSEs: A*, A*, A*, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8
Predicted: A* (Geography), D2 (Low A*, Pre-U, History of Art), D3 (A, Pre-U, History)
Applying to: Exeter, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Cambridge (Emma)
Have already got an offer back from Manchester (History of Art - ABC) and Exeter (History of Art and Visual Culture, with a year abroad - AAB) - have heard back so quickly as I had to submit my UCAS early for my Cambridge application (submitted 13th October)
Cambridge and Emma are my dream combo, but very unsure about whether I will get an interview - anyone have any useful tips for this? Also, does anyone know when they roughly start to send out interview requests?
Edinburgh is a close second favourite though - I love the 4 year Scottish courses where you can do a 'year in industry' type of thing, working or interning in galleries, museums, art dealerships etc.
Am also applying to Trinity Dublin and UCD (University College Dublin) for History of Art - Love Ireland and have lots of family in/around Dublin!
Best of luck in your applications and do reply below!
