J and K are ships.
P is a port.
J is due South of P.
Angle JPK = 56°
JP = KP
Work out the bearing of J from K.

Anyway, back to the diagram. The question tells you that JP=JK -what does that tell you about the triangle and it’s two missing angles?

Yes you have an isosceles triangle and you are given the top angle -so what are your bottom two angles?

Now you should be able use your knowledge of parallel lines to work out the bearing.

how do i explain basically you make a right angle triangle with the extended north line joining it to p then you can work out all the angles
