I was studying a course I hated and really wasn't happy doing it. I dropped out at the end of first year with the intention of reapplying for a course more suited to me. I have heard that SF funds an extra year however I have realised the course I am reapplying for is 4 years long. Does this mean I will not be able to get finance for one of these years? Very worried

Hi, you can receive funding for the length of your course plus one additional year, minus any previous study.

If your new course is 4 years long and you have 1 year of previous study then the calculation we use is 4+1-1=4 years of funding.
Thanks, Isaac
