Why do my boiled eggs take 40 mins to boil fully

I have no problem with fried eggs that takes minutes but boiled eggs takes me forever

boil it in already boiled water. Get a big deep pan. Boil barrereeeeee water in a kettle. Add to pan. Put on hob and add salt.
Add eggs.. enjoy boiled eggs.

Depends on how you want the yolk to turn out.

12 minutes?? Jesus Christ I really was doing it wrong. Now I can finally have them for breakfast!
Are you fully boiling the water beforehand?

Also, if you are at 'altitude' - water boils at less than 212 deg F - so it takes longer - unless you use a pressure cooker.

You don't really with a boiled egg, the shell isn't permeable by salt in this sort of a cook time.
