Rejection from university

I was just wondering if anyone has been rejected from a university choice yet

Haha yuppp.. i got rejected less than 24hrs after applying
But now ive got 2 offers and 2 interview invites
About 57,000 applications have been rejected (4.5% of applications so far)

This time last year it was 4.6% of applications. Rejections are down

Wow I wouldn't have thought anyone had this sort of stats, you're amazing. I wouldn't immediately say rejections have gone down though, since it's like just 0.1%, and you could easily blame it on corona slowing down the process so the universities haven't got the chance to reject (or accept) some of the applicatiions

I would be nicer if everyone was made an offer and accepted into the uni of their choice because of the pandemic.

medicine at Newcastle, my top choice as well. I was so gutted but my best piece of advice is , whatever will be will be 😊

It's not a nice feeling to get rejected from a uni but just remember, the only way to avoid any rejection in life is to never aim high. You don't need 5 uni offers so please try not to feel too disheartened :console:
