Feeling Lazy......Do I edit my personal statement?

Okay so I want to apply for Astrophysics and I've just mentioned reading books for physics and astrophysics but I also applied for one geophysics course so do I have to mention something geo-related?

How much overlap is there between the courses?

Somewhat of an overlap because I have to study a planetary module for both Astrophysics and Geophysics. Difference is that geo will focus more on Earth while Astro will focus on other planets as well and I suppose any other difference will be due to how the uni course is set up.
I'm trying to broaden my course choices in order to make sure I get an offer to uni.

Probably best to focus on talking about aspects that overlap in your PS. The admissions tutors will likely know that more specialist courses like astro and geo will not be common
