Tourism can bring benefits to less developed countries.
Describe some of the benefits.

How can I improve my answer to get full marks?

A less developed country, such as Jamaica, has benefitted greatly under the influence tourism. Its beautiful landscapes attracting around 2 million tourists annually. Tourism requires the opening of restaurants, hotels and other hospitality facilities. Therefore the opportunities for employment allow many local Jamaican workers to receive a secure income. As a result they are able to pay for education and healthcare which in turn can decrease the wealth gap bringing families out of poverty.
Jamaican tourism accounts for 15% of its GDP and over 50% of its foreign exchange earnings through facilities such as hotels and restaurants. Therefore more taxes are paid to the government, which as a result can be re-invested into the country e.g. through education and medical facilities. This can also help to decrease poverty levels all as a result of tourism.

You could just write an additional sentence about the idea of a "multiplier effect" or "positive cumulative causation" the idea that one change leads to another change which leads to another change etc which you've talked about with spending in the local economy, higher government taxation, reinvestment into national infrastructure and so on. But a very strong answer.
