why does redbull give me chest pain/heart palpitations?

even when the smallest 250ml can. is it safe to just ignore it? my energy levels are really **** so i need a solution :< i've always had this issue with redbull and i just don't understand why, it's weird?
Moved to health forum, hopefully this helps get you some answers.
Do not ignore it but it doesn't sound like something major, do you drink other caffeinated beverages like coffee and cola?

i don't like coffee. but i occasionally drink cola, mixed with vodka - no issues with that

Talk to your GP about it, especially if you take other meds it can be a simple interaction and nothing major but you can't know unless you ask.
It's prob all the chemicals trying to kill you (why else buy it?)

I'm literally drinking red bull right now and feel great. You may be sensitive to caffeine, Idk. Why do you avoid doctors?

These things are a law of diminishing returns imo, You'll get less 'energy' and more 'urgh' with every can.

I know that exact same chest pain if i've overindulged in Purple Rockstar and I have to have a shake and remind myself not to drink it as it's gutrot. It's hardly giving me 'clean' energy.

I understand that, I hate going to a GP, they are often ignorant and dismissive. But still, I'd rather promptly treat anything I might have that is preventable or curable. If I find them unhelpful or unconvincing, I ask to be referred to a specialist.

I had this same experience but with a Lucozade. My heart suddenly started beating really fast, even though I was sitting still.

These effects of energy drinks are normal apparently. This webpage has info about it http://secondscount.org/heart-condition-centers/info-detail-2/energy-drinks--heart-know-risks
(sorry it's an American website lol :s-smilie:)
