The Student Room Group

How are some young people (20-30yrs) able to get a vaccine now?

I thought that the current priority groups are those over 70 and those who are clinically vulnerable.
You can have clinically vulnerable people who are aged 20-30 too!

I know some people who are not clinically vulnerable but received an invite.
Health care workers are eligible for the vaccination.

They shouldn’t have, unless they are a healthcare worker.

NHS workers, care workers and social workers are able to recieve it, as are clinically extremely vulnerable people who are under 70.

Care home workers & residents were the top priority, then frontline hospital staff and the over 80. Are they in one of those groups?
Also it could be the case that the vaccination centre has a surplus of vaccines.
or their parents could be key workers
Vaccine is also being offered to: frontline medical professionals, care workers, care home residents over 18 and almost every adult deemed as having an underlying health condition which put them at a significantly higher risk of covid.

No... this is nonsense!

it will be because they are healthcare workers or critically vulnerable.
