Why do I get called a boy when I'm a girl??

If I wear a hoodie and no make-up and I am a girl and I have short dark hair then why do I get called a boy???

The same thing happens to me
I am a girl and i get mistaken for a boy

it could be that you may have masculine features

Because you probably look like a boy. You cant expect people to not assume.
I get called sir quite a bit in public as a girl. I laugh it off and move on, its not worth correcting.

they are probably assuming going by the short hair, hoodie combo and if you dont have makeup on then that doesnt really specify what gender you are if ygm

does it bother u?

tbh this happens to me a lot lol when i first meet people they think im a guy. i just point it out when its appropriate

Which makes sences yea but I like some times I will get ready to go in to the womans bathroom and a guy will say are u sure u are going to the right bathroom and I say yea ofcourse?

haha ive had that before at school lol
maybe if it bothers you, you could put on something a bit more feminine or maybe a tiny bit of makeup. yk something small but noticable

but I have is hoodies and even if I do that people think I am a gay boy?

yh but what kinda hoodie cos there a different types which are generally linked to certain genders
