ahhhh stressful! does that mean she got in to the course but just not for her first choice, or doesn't she know yet?
seems mean to tell people they're not getting into their first choice modules without knowing if they have a place at all, if you know what i mean? i could be misinterpreting though haha
I got an update email today saying that I was being considered for my next module but I only applied to one, so I emailed and they said that I’ve been put on a waitlist for that module - which is the Drop Dead one.

ah that module looks amazing! I'm sorry you didn't get it initially fingers crossed for the waitlist! sounds like it was a popular one
Does anyone know whether a writing sample is required for the UCL application? I can't find any info about it on the website so I thought maybe not? I emailed them but I got an automated reply that it could take 10 days to get a response...

Hey you don't need to submit a writing sample  just statement and transcripts, cv etc

Ah ok I thought that might be the case. Thank you for letting me know
Been passed over for my first choice (Italian Renaissance) which I was the most qualified for so not filled with confidence for the rest but fingers crossed..

I'm in the same boat, but my first choice was New York-London-Paris. Now I shall begin impatiently waiting once again!
Me too I have been intensively learning Italian for that course, I wanted to do it so much! I’m amazed they can make decisions without interviewing. Did you make second and third choices? What is your background in? I am from a fine art background (MA Sculpture at Royal college of art) so a bit of a less traditional background
Can't believe it but I've been accepted by The Courtauld for the Italian Renaissance course! My degree is in history so I wasn't sure what would happen. Best of luck to you all xx

Sorry to hear! I'm from a fine art background too (BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins), but have an Undergraduate Diploma in History of Art that specialised in the Italian Renaissance and Baroque from the University of Cambridge ICE. On top of other experience in the subject too... so I'm really disappointed— not much hope for my other two options tbh!! Best of luck

I did my BA in Fine Art at CSM too! Best time of my life- Courtauld seems to not be v keen on people from a background in art practice 🤷*♀️
