I would say its different when you're in a relationship. For example, I wouldn't call a girl "sexy" or "hot" outside of the relationship (in courting faze) and I would opt to something like "Oh you're really, beautiful" as it comes off more respectful. I could be wrong though. What do other guys think?

No, pretty is for girls and I think it's making out the guy to be a pus*y just a bit. When I'm into a guy I'll say he's hot, sometimes handsome.
